But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
The Circle of Faith, ladies and gents. A circle exemplifying Continuance. Continuance (I must emphasize).
Eternality, the great “I am”. Like it or not, it is all in Him and up to Him. Tough, but your input is “a sustenance in Faith”.
Sustain it, that trust, the hope, the belief, sustain it, chum. This is our role forever turning His role into that of substitution, that’s what putting all your chips on Him accomplishes. None of you and all of Him, chum.
As you might discern, I am a little exasperated, and ready for warfare. God anticipated that the believer is not perfect, and so disposed His Spirit to fill and carry the believer through. The office of High Priest which Jesus presides over anticipates human frailty, anticipates what awaits us; Based on the finished work of Christ upon the Cross.
God is eternal, God is eternality it self. Things which appear, had nothing to do with their making. So it goes for us, the Believer. We cannot by striving for perfection, with such a striving, likely birthed of our fear, the depths of our voidedness, with it we will not create the seen nor that which is unseen. He, within, the unseen, can create that which doth appear. If we can produce anything, works of merit, of Love, of praise (known, recognized) it will have to be Him working through us. For we still struggle against the other half, our attributed to Adam half.
Yes we are told to be perfect in His Word, an exhortation, much needed, and given out of Love. For our sakes, because consider the why for; Since within we are entrusted with the precious cargo, the Spirit of the most lovely one.
It is Faith which will make Him inhabit our actions, enable our success, not bondage, not the guilt of the human conscience which endeavored for many years before the Cross to replace His Spirit. The Human conscience arising out of our “little gods” syndrome.
“For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.”
The little gods. The Fall of man. The complementation to man’s independence. Giving power to the human conscience, kicking out the God Conscience.
Trust, remember what I assigned you to do, and not to do (IE His Spirit, God Conscience). The key word is trust. The God Conscience reminds us of “Trust”.
It (our fulfilling), doing His Will, Enabling can only emerge through the exertion, maintenance, continuance of our trust. The Circle of Faith, completed. We are frail. I’m not trying to excuse us.
But it becomes crucial, expedient for us to focus on “Remembrance”. IE What did place the lover of our Soul at Calvary?
Two things; A) Our failure, predicament (And…) B) His Love.
Your Walk is one of Faith. How else will you accomplish; The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
It behooves us to give Him His way, not to live out of past scars, driven by our guilt, a project of which He will have no part.
To instead; Abide (remain) in Him.
Trust, Faith employment, and yes then, understanding His grace, provision for your frailty, the need we have of Christ, not discounting our First Love; For it is that Scene, the Cross which set the ball rolling for us.
The scene of the Seed of His Love.
For without Faith, it is impossible to please Him (on your own you will fail).
There is a way that seemeth right unto man……
You will fail, though you think you have been faithful, self constrained.
Remember; The constant in the Life of the Christian is Representation.
Consider the coats of skin, which did suffice to cover the nakedness of Adam and Eve; Substitution, Representation. The fig leaves constructed out of guilt generated by the human conscience would not suffice. Innocent blood was shed to obtain those coats of skin. A lesson in trust.
