Because fear hath torment

Fear fills (produces, overflows within) the breast (the heart, emotions) with forebodings.

Invokes much anxiety, and anxiety is desirous of coloring the possibilities, fleshing them out. Fleshing them out with the horror of its (the Void) contents.

By “perfect love” is not meant, romantic love, romantic love is the same as described above, lyrical, looking for context, thus dramatic, subject to needful provocations and tests. Romantic love is competitive; show me yours and I’ll compete to show you mine.
